Raju Rishi
General Partner
Raju Rishi is a General Partner at RRE Ventures, where he invests in visionary founders building category-defining companies across Enterprise Software, Healthcare IT, and Artificial Intelligence.
Raju looks for startups that are disrupting massive markets by solving complex and meaningful problems. While he has a bias for differentiated technology, he prioritizes exceptional teams—leaders who combine conviction, resilience, and clarity of purpose.
Before joining RRE, Raju was a Venture Partner at Sigma Prime Ventures in Boston. Earlier in his career, he founded and led multiple venture-backed companies in the mobile and enterprise software sectors, giving him firsthand experience in scaling teams, navigating market cycles, and managing through inflection points. He also held senior leadership roles at AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and Bell Laboratories, where he developed a strong operational foundation that continues to inform his partnership approach with founders today.
Drawing from this operating background, Raju is known for being an engaged and steady presence—often the first call when a Founder or CEO needs a thought partner in moments of both growth and challenge. Over his career, he has served on the boards of more than 30 companies, including Bitly (Acquired), Sailthru (Acquired), Hyla (Acquired), Latch (IPO), and Tive (Private).
Raju earned his B.S. and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He continues to stay very involved within the MIT community, which has consistently remained a source of quality startup investments for Raju and RRE Ventures.
