Michel Orban is a founding member and Partner of RRE Ventures. Leveraging the firm’s extensive network, Michel connects start-ups with executive decision makers of Global 1000 companies helping them build strategic business relationships.

Before joining RRE, Michel held executive positions with American Express Company, including vice president Office of the Chairman and Corporate Affairs, where she created the community and state relations unit to raise the company’s visibility and create goodwill among stakeholders.  She lobbied at all levels of government and was one of the first women to lobby the Australian Treasury and Parliament.  Michel was legislative assistant to Congressman James Corman and special assistant to Ambassador Abdullah Al Mana of the State of Qatar.

Michel is affiliated with or has served on the boards of Coro New York Leadership Center, Kingsborough Community College Foundation Board (CUNY system), Economic Club of New York, New York Women’s Forum, the Board of Overseers of the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center, Rubric Software, Sportvision, and MaMaMedia.com.  She was a founder of Women’s High Tech Coalition.
Michel holds a B.A. in political science from George Washington University.
